Perseverance is defined as keeping at something in spite of discouragement, difficulties, or opposition. Persevering through hardship for any length of time is easier said than done and requires discipline and assistance to do so in a positive manner. Below are four basic elements to help you positively persevere: Have you ever felt like you were under attack, being persecuted every which way you turned? Well, I began feeling that way from September 2013 through my present time of testing. However, I simultaneously sensed and saw God’s hand at work throughout my experience and so offer you this God positive perspective on persecution. Are you living life on purpose? Are your dreams alive and well? Or, are you getting in your own way and allowing obstacles to shut you down? Well, while you ponder these questions and your level of investment in this present season of your life, consider this: NOW is the prime time to resurrect your dreams and bury whatever blocks may be hindering your progress! In addition to annually celebrating the Resurrection of the Holy One and only Son of God, YOU can live a resurrected lifestyle everyday through consistent affirmative thoughts and purposeful actions. It’s a matter of choice and the power is yours! Prayer is essential in order for God’s people to effectively experience victorious living. To develop confidence in your prayer life, you need to know, believe and speak God’s word over your life and watch Him work the details out on your behalf. God’s word is rich with promises that can encourage you to stand or hold on when going through challenging life experiences, rich promises that can pump up your praise while you expectantly wait with excitement on what you know and believe to be true. Read, meditate on, and seal the following scriptures in your heart to guide you to and through a confident prayer life filled with peace, joy, love, forgiveness and gratitude.
Happy New Year 2015!
To God be the glory. Good morning God. I love, thank and appreciate your love, patience, forgiveness and presence in my life. Your grace and mercy are incomparable, priceless, precious and oh so necessary. You are the Bomb.com! Yep, You are the boom in the bomb and the bang in the buck. There truly is no me without You and life is worth the living because You live. “The Just Shall Live By Faith” was the message preached and taught by Elder William Banton on Sunday at Apostolic Temple of Jesus Christ. The primary scripture reference was Romans 1:17 and we were richly reminded of how accessible and powerful faith is and what it looks like when used. The message was so engaging that I jotted down the faith nuggets I received on the front and back side of the “post-its” that were inside my pocketbook. Below are a few of my faith factor takeaways and personal thoughts for your encouragement It’s my birthday and I’ll rejoice if I want to! Praise God, Hallelujah! The melody to the song “It’s My Party and I’ll cry if I want to” literally popped into my mind as I began to type this birthday blog. However, contrary to the woe expressed in the song, I’m bubbling with jubilant expressions of gratitude in my spirit. I choose JOY! The flow of this content adds to my gratefulness because it confirms God’s inherent good and faithfulness in showing up when I settle down to write, not knowing where I’m going until He directs me in what to say. Follow along with me as my birthday blog unfolds… So, Sunday, Nov. 2 is my birthday and I get the privilege and pleasure of participating in corporate fellowship, prayer, praise and worship at church, plus the bonus of taking communion; and then, I get to sell my books after service. Yaaaay God! I also express gratitude for a restful week, working from bed, being still and quiet; and for the invitation I received to be interviewed for the online newsletter of Inner Vision Institute for Spiritual Development(IVISD), where I was a former student. I feel extremely honored for the opportunity to share my “Living a Vocal, Valued and Victorious Life” book series with that community because my healing, growth, and transformation journey and subsequent success came through the teachings, awareness, and inner-work that began in 2006 with the IVISD program. Walls of separation exist in the midst of everyone’s life, and some relationships are grievously affected, even those within the body of Jesus Christ. If we, as God’s children, won’t set the example and get along, bearing ill-treatment while sharing Christ’s sufferings; yet, respond in love and still stand strong. Wilderness experiences and challenging times of testing are a part of every Christian’s life and if it has not shown up in your life yet, just keep living. Storms of testing times are inevitable and for a divine purpose, so I encourage you to hold on. Tests and trials are necessary for us to mature, grow, and learn how to trust God; they come to test and strengthen our faith. When we hold on in the storm and persevere through testing times, it produces patience and shows us who God is and what we can do through His strength, grace and mercy. |
