Walls of separation exist in the midst of everyone’s life, and some relationships are grievously affected, even those within the body of Jesus Christ. If we, as God’s children, won’t set the example and get along, bearing ill-treatment while sharing Christ’s sufferings; yet, respond in love and still stand strong. Remember God’s instructions to Joshua
and how He knocked the high walls of Jericho down? Well, we can use them to learn a lesson in fighting the spiritual warfare that abounds. Put on God’s complete armor, wait silently in His presence, and listen for His command. Saturate the atmosphere with gospel music, and believe the enemy’s defeat is assuredly at hand. Heed God’s preciseness in your execution, as you fervently pray and march about. And at the appointed time, in one accord, commence the victorious praise SHOUT! Then BOOM, the walls of separation-- jealousy, judgment, covetousness, backbiting and pride; whatever the cause, will FALL and pave the way to the consecrated treasure on the other side. BE the love that God is— forgiving and hospitable toward everyone you meet. Be cordial, gracious, and faith-filled, so that, in you, God will be well pleased. (1 Peter 4: 7-11) “The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.” |
