Are you stressed out more often than not, unable to find peace? Well, you can now be comforted with the fact that peace is attainable and maintainable when you follow the simple strategy outlined in Philippians 4: 4-9, 12-13, 19. Praise God Praise God no matter what is going on in your life. He is worthy of all praise and will inhabit the praises of His people. When you send up praises, He will send down blessings. Reflect the image of your Creator as you glorify His name. 4 “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.” Pray Constantly Don’t ever worry. Instead, always pray and make requests in gratitude to receive God’s peace that transcends any situation. God’s peace will comfort and protect your heart and mind beyond human understanding. 6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Positive Thinking Focus your mind on thoughts that are positive and good. Be optimistic about the outcome of whatever the circumstances. See the possibilities. 8 “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” Practice Principles Do what you’ve seen and learned from positive role models, mentors and spiritual leaders. The omnipresent Source of peace will be with you and work things together for your good. 9 “Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me— put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” Be Content Learn to be satisfied with what you have at all times. Be happy whether you have a little or a lot. The secret is in your relationship with Jesus Christ. In Him, you have the strength to do all things. 12 “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 ”I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” Believe Completely Believe that God is ready, able and willing to supply your every need. 19 “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” |
